The Startup Visa (officially part of Brazil’s VITEM IX – Temporary Visa for Entrepreneurs) is designed to attract foreign entrepreneurs who want to develop innovative businesses that contribute to Brazil’s economic and technological development.
Unlike the traditional investment visa (which requires R$500,000 BRL), the startup visa allows lower capital requirements, as long as the project is innovative and has support from a certified Brazilian incubator.
✅ Who Can Apply?
To qualify, you must:
Be a foreign national
Have an innovative business idea or startup project
Present a Business Plan with potential for growth and job creation
Get accepted by a certified Brazilian incubator or accelerator
The visa is valid for up to 2 years and can lead to renewal or permanent residency based on your company’s progress.
🌎 2. Legal Residency & Business Launch
You gain the right to live in Brazil legally while developing your startup — and can bring your spouse and children with you.
